Kolkata, 6th September 2024: Aakriti Art Gallery is thrilled to announce the 12th edition of the highly anticipated ‘Affordable September Art Mela,’ set to take place from 14th September to 30th September 2024. This annual event, which has become a cornerstone of Kolkata’s cultural calendar, offers art enthusiasts an unparalleled opportunity to acquire original artworks at accessible prices.

As the festive season approaches, Aakriti Art Gallery reaffirms its commitment to making art more accessible to the public. This year’s Art Mela will feature an extensive collection of over a thousand artworks by more than a hundred artists, with prices ranging from INR 3,000 to 3,00,000. The event will showcase a diverse array of paintings, sculptures, and art prints, representing a wide spectrum of artistic techniques and styles, including gouache, tempera, acrylic on canvas, charcoal drawings, etchings, and more.

The gallery is proud to present works by some of India’s most celebrated artists, including Jogen Chowdhury, M.F. Husain, Akbar Padamsee, K.G. Subramanyan, and many others, alongside promising emerging talents. The ‘Affordable September Art Mela’ is not just an exhibition but a celebration of creativity, where both seasoned collectors and first-time buyers can find pieces that resonate with their aesthetic sensibilities.
